HUAYNA POTOSI (2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT)
Huayna Potosí is a mountain in the northwest of Bolivia, in the department of La Paz, 25 km from that city. It reaches a height of 6,090 masl. Its name in Aymara means “Young Mountain”.
Surrounded by high mountains, Huayna Potosí is one of the most popular climbs in Bolivia, as it is a direct ascent towards the peak of the mountain glacier, showing some of the most incredible views. If you are a rock climbing lover or have a desire to experience mountain glacier climbing for the first time, this is a great opportunity. Here, we have designed a package that provides you with everything you need together with a team of specialists who will accompany you all the time to ensure you are comfortable, safe, and enjoying this experience.

DAY 1: LA PAZ – HIGH CAMP
You will have a trip in private transport from La Paz to the foothills of Huayna Potosi 4,650 m.a.s.l. / 15,255 ft (2 hours). Here the ascent to the rocks will begin until 5,270 meters above sea level. / 16,732 ft (4 hours).
Then you will arrive at the “House of the Guides” shelter located at 5,270 meters above sea level. / 17,290 ft,– here dinner will be served and you will spend the night. A tent will be provided for you.

DAY 2: HUAYNA POTOSI SUMMIT AND LA PAZ
Early departure to appreciate the sunrise: you will climb to the base of the pyramid and reach the summit at 6,088 masl. / 19,973 ft (8 hours).
You will have enough time to celebrate your victorious ascent and photograph the moment. The descent will then begin back to base camp where you will then be transported back to La Paz.
