Itinerary
Around 8:30 am, we will collect your vehicle from La Paz and transport it to our office, where you will test all your driving equipment including your motorcycle. We start from here and we will travel for approximately 1 hour through urban areas to more mountainous regions until we reach “La Cumbre”, which is a mountain pass at about (4600 masl, 15092 ft). At this altitude, it is cold all year round in the morning. From here, we will descend the new path to Coroico, with the increasingly tropical landscape as we descend and the warmer climate. We pass through different climatic zones as we descend into the cloud forest or, as it is known locally, “Yungas”. There will be stops to take photos in the best places. We should arrive in Coroico at lunchtime, where you can shop a bit and take a break before starting our return trip, this time taking the “Most Dangerous Road in the World”. For obvious reasons, we will take this path much slower as it is a windy dirt road with some very large drops on one side. We will stop to take photos at the most picturesque points and you can look back on the route taken. We will ascend to La Cumbre and return to the office at approximately 6:00 pm. Total driving distance is 222 km.
