Corioco is a valley full of biodiversity, and in it we have the valley coffee where you can experience its aroma, its color, and its acidity, among other characteristics that rich Bolivian coffee has.


Explore the subtropical valleys of the Yungas and try different types of coffee on this day trip from La Paz. The Coroico region is one of the main areas of coffee plantations in Bolivia and is definitely worth a visit. The transfer to and from La Paz is included in the price.


The tour will start at 7:00am when we will go to the city of Corioco. There, we will enjoy its plazas and we will visit a café where we will taste the essence of true Bolivian coffee, accompanied by our guide, who will provide information about the history, the preparation, etc. In the early afternoon, we will go to the coffee plantations where our guide will give you a more detailed explanation about the coffee such as the process of harvesting, grinding, washing, drying, and also about the varieties that exist in the area. Around 4:30pm, you will return to Corioco and you will have time to buy souvenirs before heading back to arrive in La Paz at 8:30pm.

You will be picked up from a meeting point at 7:00am and will leave the severe weather of La Paz behind as you head towards the beautiful city of Coroico, arriving at approximately 10:30am. Upon arrival, you will be taken for a walk through the main square of the city. Coroico is one of the main weekend getaways among Bolivians and you will have the opportunity to buy some good souvenirs. Around 12:00pm, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at Café Shantí, where you can taste some delicacies from the region.

In the early afternoon, you will leave the city and visit the coffee plantations of “Café Munaipata” where, with the help of an expert guide, you will learn how coffee is processed, as well as about the culture, history, and different types of coffee from the area. You will visit the plantations, the greenhouse, and the places where the coffee is dried, washed, and processed, before finally trying different varieties of the final product: the Yungas valleys are known for being the home of the best coffee in Bolivia. Around 4:30pm, you will return to the city of Coroico and have some free time to buy your last souvenirs before returning to La Paz, arriving around 8:30pm.
