DESCRIPTION MADIDI NATIONAL PARK
Madidi National Park tour 4D, takes you to know the majesty of the Bolivian jungle, accompanied by local guides who have extensive knowledge of the biodiversity of the place, which will give you a beautiful interpretation about the ecosystem that exists. We contribute to the environment by carrying out ecological work through the practice of sustainable tourism applied to the three pillars.
It is recognized by many scientists as the nature reserve with the greatest biodiversity in the world, offers much more than a simple title. Itinerary
DAY 1 – RURRENABAQUE – MADIDI NATIONAL PARK.
Likewise, we begin our tour, from Rurrenabaque in the morning, in a boat for three hours, along the Beni and Tuichi rivers. Later, we will arrive at our ecolodge, where we will settle down, to have a very nutritious lunch with products from the area.
Similarly, after our lunch, we will start a walk along the trail until we reach the saltpeter of mammals, where most of them come to ingest the mineralized clayey mud or take a bath in the mud. Likewise, the local guide will explain about the behavior of mammals. We will return to the ecolodge along a path called Tuichi, then we will make a stop at the viewpoint to observe the jungle of the Madidi National Park. Finally, to end the day we will have dinner at the ecolodge as well as play board games at night.
DAY 2 – MADIDI NATIONAL PARK.
After a nutritious breakfast, we start a 3-hour walk through the trails, which have the name of mapajo and matapalo. Of course, along the route you will be able to appreciate a variety of trees with more than 300 years, of which the following stand out: mapajo, almendrillo and matapalo, which can reach up to 40 meters in height or more. Likewise, accompanied by your local guide, you will have the opportunity to learn about medicinal plants and their healing benefits. Our guides are born and raised in the jungle and maintain the ancestral knowledge.
Next, we will have a delicious lunch and a short break. In the afternoon we go out to the Tuichi river bound for the Serere trail, where you will start a walk until you reach the lagoon called piranha, where you can optionally go fishing. On this tour you will be able to see the riverside forest where the squirrel monkey is frequently sighted. Next, we will visit a mammalian salt flat, where you will learn about animal behavior. We will return to the ecolodge to enjoy our dinner. Later you will have the opportunity to take a walk along a trail, where you will observe a variety of insects, frogs, butterflies and many other species.
DAY 3. MADIDI NATIONAL PARK.
Likewise, after a delicious breakfast, we will begin a long 4-hour walk along the trails called bechu and pava cullpana, one of the longest tours of the ecolodge, which crosses different ecosystems of the tropical rain forest. We will walk along the banks of a stream that will lead you to the salt flat of the largest mammals in the area. The salt flat is frequented mostly by tapirs, jungle mammals that can weigh up to 240 kilos.
After a good lunch you will be able to make your own traditional crafts, selecting the best plant seeds to make your own ring, necklace or bracelet. For this activity, the guide will provide you with the necessary tools and will teach you each step of the process until you obtain your final product, a beautiful memory of your stay in the Amazon. The surroundings of the ecolodge are an opportunity to observe some animals that occasionally approach the cabins. This activity is optional; Alternatively, you can take a walk along the trails of Dati and Almendrillo to visit a salt flat frequented by howler monkeys.
At night there will be a traditional dinner, which is based on fish cooked in heliconia leaves. Optionally, after dinner, the local guides can share with you their knowledge about cultures.
DAY 3 OPTIONAL – VISIT SANTA ROSA LAKE – MADIDI NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast, we leave by boat on the Tuichi River, the trip takes 2 hours until we reach the Santa Rosa port, where we start a 15-minute walk that will lead to Santa Rosa Lake. It is ideal for canoeing, piranha fishing and observing the impressive landscape of Madidi. We will have a delicious lunch by the lake. After lunch, you can optionally swim in the lake, before starting the return trip to the ecolodge. This tour is priced at 30 USD.

DAY 4. MADIDI NATIONAL PARK – RURRENABAQUE.
Very early in the morning, after a good breakfast, we will take a walk along the banks of a river in the middle of the jungle and enjoy the environment that surrounds us, where you can learn about the secondary forest and the characteristics of the riparian forest. Returning to the ecolodge you will have the option of doing the activity of tubing in the river, a fun activity that consists of traveling floating on rubber tubes, where you can relax and enjoy many views next to the river. This adventure sport takes about 45 minutes. We will provide you with life jackets for your safety. If you are not interested in this activity, you can return to the ecolodge in our boat. The tubing is carried out as long as the weather and river conditions allow it.
Next, you will have lunch and then return to Rurrenabaque. It will depend a lot on the season of the year to visit, which is an attraction located about a 20-minute walk from the Tuichi River where you can see the red and green macaws on a natural cliff in the middle of the jungle. Finally, we will arrive in Rurrenabaque at approximately 4:00 p.m.
