The archaeological site of Samaipata located in the last foothills of the eastern Andes of Bolivia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters, is commonly known as “El Fuerte of Samaipata”. Itinerary
DAY 1. SANTA CRUZ – SAMAIPATA.
At 07:30 a.m. we will pick you up from your hotel and we will leave for a route of 60 flat kilometers and 60 kilometers through the mountain range; Where, we will enjoy the fresh air and the exuberant vegetation with impressive panoramic views. Then, at 10:00 a.m., we will visit the “Las Cuevas” waterfalls, an exotic setting with cascades of crystal clear waters, which invite you to a refreshing and pleasant bath in water and nature. Later, at 12:00 p.m. we will arrive at Samaipata to later enjoy lunch. Finally, we will settle into the accommodation and you will have some free time.
Later we will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Plaza and the surroundings. Likewise, at 03:00 p.m., we will go to the archaeological center, the Fort, where you will discover the mystery. Finally, at 06:00 p.m. we will return to Samaipata for dinner and rest to continue the next day.
DAY 2. SAMAIPATA – FERN FOREST.
At 07:30 a.m. we will taste breakfast, and then, at 08:00 a.m., we will go to the Yunga, south side of the Amboró National Park. Likewise, you will enjoy direct contact with nature. In addition, we will take walks through ecological trails, through the humid cloud forest, the forest of giant ferns over 10 meters high. Also, ecosystems whose origins are millions of years old. Then, we will enjoy lunch (Box Lunch). Afterwards, we will do a tour of 4 hours approx. to later return to Samaipata. Finally, at 03:00 p.m. we will return to Santa Cruz, arriving at 06:00 p.m. approx.
