SAMAIPATA CONDORS OBSERVATION – 2 DAYS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION.

The archaeological site of Samaipata located in the last foothills of the eastern Andes of Bolivia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters, is commonly known as “El Fuerte de Samaipata”. DESCRIPTION

The tour begins when the visitor travels up to 40 kilometers south of Samaipata condors observation. There, the condor that seeks to make its nest between mountains located between 1,000 and 5,000 meters of altitude, begins to show itself, where you can make the observation. In addition, it flies effortlessly and the sound of the wind passing through its feathers makes one think that even the wind stops. Sometimes they say there are more than 60 and with a silent flight they circle a couple of times until they settle in a pool in the middle of a vertical waterfall of about 300 meters in height.

Here, they begin to get into the water and shake their large wings, which they then leave outstretched in the sun to dry and a while later they take advantage of the rising thermal currents and make the great flight of condors jumping into the void to rise without any effort and return to pass over the spectators. DAY 1. SANTA CRUZ – SAMAIPATA.

In the morning our tourist transport will pick you up at 08:00 a.m, where we will make a beautiful journey of 60 flat kilometers and 60 kilometers through the mountains. Likewise, we will enjoy the fresh air and the exuberant vegetation with impressive panoramic views of the environment that surrounds us. Later, at 10:00 a.m. we will arrive at the archaeological center of the Fort (Last Inca Vestige), where the mystery will be discovered. Finally, at 12:30 p.m. we will enjoy a nutritious lunch, and then settle into the accommodation.

Then, in the afternoon, we will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Plaza Mayor and the surroundings, and then we will go to the “Cuevas” waterfalls, an exotic place of cascades of crystal clear waters, which invite you to a refreshing and pleasant bath in water and nature. Finally, this first day we will have our dinner and then we will rest to leave early the next day.

DAY 2. SAMAIPATA – OBSERVATION OF CONDORES – SANTA CRUZ.

Very early in the morning we will have a nutritious breakfast at 07:30 a.m. Then, we will leave to enjoy the flight and Observation of Condors. After that, we will have our lunch (Box Lunch), then we will make a 3-hour tour through the valleys of Santa Cruz. Finally, we will return to Santa Cruz at 04:00 p.m., arriving at approximately 07:00 p.m.
